FredT300B > The Art Arrays are a line array type speaker using eight 5.5" woofers with a single 1" dome tweeter.
FredT300B > The Mother of all speakers, the Selah Audio XT-8 line arrays, each incorporating eight 7" Vifa XT woofers and eight Fountek ribbon tweeters.
FredT300B > Selah Audio XT-8 Line Arrays. Each ported enclosure is 72"H, 14"W, 18"D, and houses eight 7" Vifa XT-18 midbass drivers and eight Fountek JP-2 ribbon tweeters. The crossovers use Alpha Core copper foil inductors, Hovland caps, and Mills resistors.
FredT300B > The ART Arrays driven by 2A3 SET Bottlehead Paramour monoblocks, a Goldpoint stepped attenuator passive "preamp", and a modded Toshiba 3950 DVD player. The parts needed to build a pair are avaiable from Parts Express for $275, excluding the enclosures.
FredT300B > The latest version of the Studio One Pi tower, using the standard One Pi kit in a 2 cu ft enclosure tuned to 49hz. The enclosure is 9.5" wide, 12.5" deep, by 36" high. The enclosure is made from 11 ply baltic birch veneer plywood. The parts kit for the Studio One Pi is avaiable from Pi Speakers for $75 per speaker. CLICK ON PICTURE TO ENLARGE

FredT300B > Speakers lined up for the July 22 Lone Star Bottlehead meeting. L to R, the Insignia standmount speakers, Jim Griffin design MLTL single driver bipoles, Zaph Audio two ways using Seas metal cone/dome drivers, the FredAudio F8's having 95dB sensitivity and 1st order crossovers using Eminence Alpha 8 woofers and GR Research T-6 silk dome tweeters. The partially visible drivers at the right edge of the picture are from a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls I'm refinishing.
FredT300B > Jim Griffin design bipole speakers in the upstairs system, driven by Squeezebox wireless server, Lite Audio DAC-AH, DIY passive preamp, Monarchy Audio ST-70 Pro class A zero feedback amplifiers bridged for use as monoblocks (140 watts into 4 ohms).
