FredT300B > Zaph Audio two-way floorstander using 7" Seas L-18 aluminum cone woofer and alloy dome tweeter. Veneered in natural red oak.
FredT300B > High efficiency speaker incorporating an Eminence Alpha 8 woofer and a GR Research T-6 tweeter in a 1.5 cu ft tower enclosure. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms, sensitivity is about 95dB. First order crossover. The enclosure is tuned to 54hz using a 4" id port. Pictured here veneered in natural red oak.
FredT300B > The 3 Pi Theater two-way using Eminence drivers.
FredT300B > Linus 2 - Each enclosure having 10 Vifa 5.5" TC series woofers & 8 Dayton PT2 planar tweeters. Five ohm impedance, 95dB sensitivity. The speakers are offered by Selah audio.
FredT300B > Speaker Building Workshop - Linus 2 Under Construction. You can do anything if you got the right tools!
FredT300B > The Fredarrays are 6' line arrays, each having ten 5.25" Silver Flute woofers and a single 1" MCM titanium dome tweeter. Two 4" ports on the back extend the response into the low 50's. Sensitivity is about 95dB and impedance is 9 ohms, making them a good match for the 300B set amp pictured.
FredT300B > The AnoreXiarray - 72" high, 7.5" wide, 5.5" deep, each cabinet having ten 4.5" Vifa/JBL BC11BG07-06 midwoofers and one Peerless 1" fabric dome horn loaded tweeter. Second order woofer crossover, 3rd order tweeter crossover at 2.9khz using Jantzen 15 & 18 ga air core inductors & Solen capacitors. Shown here driven by a Sonic Frontiers Power 2 amp, about 100 watts overkill for these very sensitive speakers.
FredT300B > The subwoofer behind the Anorexiarray is an older Advent sub whose foam surround 10" driver recently bit the dust. The replacement driver shown is a 10" Dayton sheilded DVC which fit into the 1.5 cu ft enclosure nicely in a sealed configuration. In room response is flat to about 25hz.
FredT300B > Voigt pipes using Fostex FE166E 6" drivers. The enclosure is made of 3/4" birch veneer plywood with painted mdf accents.
