FredT300B > The ART Arrays (AudioRoundTable Group Build Line Arrays) are happy with tubes or solid state amps. They are shown here being driven to room filling levels by a pair of Bottlehead Paramour 3.5 watt single ended triode amplifiers. FredT300B > Front baffle drawing indicating the driver cutout locations and dimensions. This is a bit different from the pictures because I added one more brace. So you now have four cutout braces and one solid center divider/brace. (AutoCad drawing by Ryan Herrera of RH Custom Cables).
FredT300B > Prototype crossovers (these were second order woofer, first order tweeter). The crossover I finally ended up with is a second order woofer / third order tweeter designed by Pete Schumacher.
FredT300B > Completing an enclosure by gluing the back in place. If you don't have a bunch of clamps you can use screws instead. You'll need about eight #6 flat head screws countersunk so their heads are just below the surface of the panel. After completion you will have to fill over them with wood putty (or you can use round head screws and leave them exposed).
FredT300B > Front and back view of the enclosures with the front baffles attached.
FredT300B > Here's one front baffle with all the drivers set in their cutouts. For ease of construction without a router the drivers are not recessed, but if you have access to a router it's better to recess them, especially the tweeter, to avoid baffle-edge diffraction.
FredT300B > Zaph Audio two-way floorstander using 7" Seas L-18 aluminum cone woofer and alloy dome tweeter. Veneered in natural red oak.
FredT300B > Assemblage SET-300B stereo amp.
FredT300B > To access the underside of the circuit board, remove the screws holding it to the chassis, remove the two screws on the underside of the chassis holding the back panel in place, and gently pull the back panel away from the chassis. Now you can lift the board. Use solder wick to remove excess solder from the holes where the caps are soldered and, while holding the iron to a connection, gently lift that side of the cap. Then do the same to the other side until the cap is free of the board. Do the same with the other cap. No other connections need to be unsoldered to do this.
