Definitely not an antique, but it was so right for the spot that we bought it at an "antique" auciton for $135. It's an English piece, circa 1960's or later, designed in the gothic tradition. Henry VIII in the alcove feels right at home here.
Three matted and framed English sixpence pieces from, top to bottom, the reigns of Edward VI (1551-53), Elizabeth I (the 1561 date on this one is legible) and Charles I (1625-49). All were bought from the same London coin shop on different vacation trips.
